Content Solar – 20 MW
Jamacia

On August 28, 2016, Content Solar Ltd. initiated the commercial operations of Jamaica’s inaugural utility-scale solar PV plant. Content Solar, a 20 MW grid-connected solar facility, is set to provide power to over 20,000 households for the next 20 years through a power purchase agreement (PPA) with the Jamaica Public Service Company (JPS).

Representing a notable enhancement in Jamaica’s energy diversity, the Content Solar, a 20-megawatt solar energy generation plant, was officially inaugurated in Content Village, Clarendon Parish, on June 22, 2017.

Kawailoa Wind

The Kawailoa Wind Farm, a functional wind farm with a capacity of 69 MW, is situated on the breathtaking North Shore of Oahu, approximately 35 miles from Honolulu, Hawaii’s largest city.

The Kawailoa Solar project is Hawaii’s most extensive, with 500k solar panels and 49 MW capacity. Located on former sugar cane land next to Oahu’s central wind farm, it shares roads, substations, and lines to transmit power.

Highland Solar

The Highland Solar farm will be situated in portions of both Clay and Whiteoak Townships in Highland County, Ohio.

Project

The solar farm aims to produce 100 percent renewable energy while enhancing the quality of existing farmland soils. This is achieved by implementing long-term cover crops, such as cool-season grasses, which sequester atmospheric carbon in the soil and contribute to improved soil health. Notably, after the solar farm’s useful life, all equipment will be removed, ensuring that future generations can utilize the agricultural land.

Prairie State Solar

The Prairie State Solar Project will be situated on private land in Perry County in southwestern Illinois, northwest of Carbondale.

Project

Illinois’s Prairie State Solar Project generates the equivalent electricity for 15,000 homes.

Rocking R Solar

The solar facility will be located approximately 20 miles north of Shreveport, near Hosston.

Project

The new facility will assist in fulfilling SWEPCO’s commitment to the Louisiana Public Service Commission (LPSC) made in May 2020 to pursue up to 200 megawatts of solar generation in its service territory.
